New report recognizes Workz as world-leading eSIM provider

eSIM provider, Workz recognised as leader by analyst, Counterpoint

Technology market analyst, Counterpoint Research has named Workz as one of six leading eSIM providers worldwide. The recently released report forecasts that the global shipments of eSIM devices will reach close to two billion units by 2025, a 63% year-on-year growth from 364 million units in 2018.

Based on criteria composed of eight different parameters that include security, compliance, tech contribution and customer base, Counterpoint identified Workz as one of the world’s pioneers of eSIM technology, ranking the company sixth in the eSIM ecosystem. The report also recognised Workz as one of five global leaders in eSIM hardware.

Talking to TechRadar Middle East, Neil Shah, Research Director at Counterpoint Research commented:

There are eSIM suppliers such as Workz, based out of Dubai, driving eSIM adoption partnering with different IoT module vendors to supply eSIM capable modules for applications such as oil and gas, utilities – water, electricity and gas meters, automotive, smart cities and other applications.

Workz is one of only six eSIM providers in the world certified by the GSMA across the full lifecycle management of the eSIM from production and personalisation to provisioning. In the last nine months, the company has launched a range of initiatives around the world using the next-generation SIM technology working with device manufacturers, network operators, governments and integrators across the consumer device, automotive and energy sectors. Earlier this year, BIS Research similarly recognised Workz as one of five key players in the global eSIM market.

Reacting to the report, Workz Group CEO, Stephane Fund remarked:

It’s great to be recognised as one of the pioneers of embedded SIM and is a testament to the hard work, agility and passion of the team we have here. We are excited about the future of the IoT market and continue to invest in next-generation technologies such as eSIM to support our clients’ digital transformation.
