R&D and new technologies result in ‘market’s most advanced card’
Workz has today announced the launch of its new MacWhite scratch card which offers a 100% increase in durability, greater protection against fraud and enhanced PIN visibility. The improvements made to the product are attributed to a combination of utilising new nanoparticle manufacturing board technologies and a new card construction developed by the company’s recently created R&D laboratory.
The new product features an easy scratch-off latex scratch panel with a reinforced PIN code area underneath offering twice the durability (commonly known as over-scratch performance) of previous products. The card also includes a new anti-tamper security panel which protects the PIN code from being fraudulently exposed. Workz, who are the largest telecoms subscriber products and solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa, have shipped over 1.3BN scratch cards since opening its hi-tech production facility in 2013. The company has used client feedback to help develop a product that is designed to minimise the number of after-market issues telecom operators often incur.
The company has recently invested over $1 million upgrading its Dubai scratch card printing facility which comprised of a range of enhancements including a new UV inkjet variable data printer, additional inline print stations, camera and data verification upgrades, an in-house ink mixing as well as a hi-tech research & development laboratory for product testing and development.
