Mobile & IoT solutions provider Workz will join forces with Arm to offer full eUICC manufacturing and remote SIM provisioning services based on the Arm® Kigen™ technology
The Dubai-based group will utilize the Arm Kigen family of products which includes an eSIM operating system for the IoT and M2M markets, an iSIM operating system for IoT SoC designs, and a flexible remote SIM provisioning platform for original equipment manufacturers, mobile network operators and IoT platform providers. Workz, which is the only eUICC SIM manufacturer and remote SIM provisioning service provider in the Middle East and Africa region, will be able to employ Kigen products in its M2M SIM and eSIM solutions worldwide.
The latest collaboration, which forms part of a long-standing partnership, comes after both companies have been instrumental in advancing the eSIM and iSIM technology in their respective areas. The two companies agree that the eSIM will be critical in accelerating the market development of both consumer and IoT devices by delivering scalable, commercially viable solutions and significantly reducing the cost.
We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration brings. Workz customers will benefit from the end-to-end solution which combines our industry expertise with Arm technology, offering our clients complete control over the lifecycle of eSIM-enabled devices. This, in combination with the longer deployment lifespan, lower device cost, higher scalability and flexibility to address global markets with local provisioning, will help Workz customers to derive real business value from their connected devices.
Brad Taylor, co-CEO, Workz Group
Prospective customers will also receive a double assurance in the quality of the new offering: the Kigen remote provisioning solution has been accredited by the GSMA, whilst Workz is only the sixth manufacturer in the world to currently carry the GSMA SAS-UP extended for eUICC and EUM accreditations.
As we look towards our vision of a trillion connected devices by 2035, unlocking the potential of cellular IoT is a key priority. Collaborating with partners like Workz, whose philosophy and approach to the evolution of eSIM and iSIM aligns with ours, is essential. With these partnerships, and the recent milestone of our own GSMA accreditation, we can bring the benefits of the Kigen product family to a broader audience, accelerating the development of secure IoT devices at scale.
